SO GREAT!! Do students use mirrors, or go from memory? How many class periods does this take?

I don't have mirrors, so usually I give student the choice between using a picture (that I supply or that they bring) or create an image from memory. This is a beginning of the year project that is less technical and more about getting back into the art groove, so realism is not a criteria. We usually spend 1 class on sketchbook practice.
