Our intermediate and middle school students are continuing their journeys through music as they explore the lyrics of popular songs. Each student selected one song and found specific lines to represent with symbolic imagery. Students focused on using a variety of lettering styles, symbols, text movement, and selective color. Take a look below at some of the creative ways the students illustrated song lyrics, and see if you can identify the songs.

Eighth grade received a long awaited shipment today! At the beginning of the year they planned to create a legacy project for the school: painted murals. Well, after posting a project to donorschoose.org, their wish has been granted. Five large canvases and a box full of mural paint arrived at Bright school, ready for our talented students to begin! We are beginning the planning process immediately! Students have divided into teams and have begun planning and sketching large themed paintings for our school hallways. They want each painting to represent some aspect of student life. Check back in later for updates!
Our Pre-Kindergarten students have been exploring animals all year, and they just completed their first clay project. Pre-K students used paint and clay to build sculptures of harp seals enjoying icy water. They are pretty darn cute!
