Wishing you and your families a beautiful holiday season! Here's a Kwanzaa card one of my 4th graders made. I forgot to take pictures of some of the beautiful New Years and Christmas cards from that class as well. Oops - I will have to remember next year!

Congratulations to my incentive-winning classes! My classes that managed to earn 4 ART PAWs or more in November were able to participate in a seasonal painting party. Students could follow along with me, or experiment on their own. Below you can see some gorgeous variations on the idea of "Changing Seasons".
Check out these beautiful second grade paintings! We read the poem "Windy Tree" and experimented with foreground and background using watercolor paint. It's tricky to keep an area white while you paint around it, but my second graders were up to the challenge. I love the variety of skies, and I'm pleasantly surprised that most second graders were able to stick with the motto "Less is More" when it comes to painting snow.
