Visitors to the art show were able to vote on their favorite works by age. The lucky winners will be announced later this quarter in class! Below are pictures of many of the final works!
Along with our famous cookies and juice, this year's art show featured a great deal of very BRIGHT and colorful sculptures. This spring students have been working on building sculptures of plants from different biomes to go along with their habitat concentration collections. Students started with an empty plant pot and then used sculpture materials (paper mache, cardboard, wire, tissue paper, construction paper, paint, and clay) to create the completed "plants". Visitors to the art show were able to vote on their favorite works by age. The lucky winners will be announced later this quarter in class! Below are pictures of many of the final works! PS: Apologies for the sidways images! For some reason my blog would NOT upload them in the correct orientation, and it wouldn't give me the option to rotate :(
