Below I have included some images of 2nd grade as they complete their paintings. As each class completes this assignment, they will be moving on to create sculptures of their hot air balloon.
Continuing with our unit exploring the book Oh, The Places You'll Go!, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade students have been creating watercolor paintings of their possible travels through life. Students were required to decide if they were painting a difficult or joyous "life terrain" that they were flying through in their painting. In this terrain, students were required to incorporate techniques to show perspective, and to include symbols of themselves on their balloons or hidden within their landscape. Below I have included some images of 2nd grade as they complete their paintings. As each class completes this assignment, they will be moving on to create sculptures of their hot air balloon.
