It's a little late in the month, but we have finally gotten to our Incentive project for my most fabulous classes in March. The project was put on hold until after the art show, and now it has arrived. In celebration of Earth Day, classes that earned 4 or more ART PAWs were able to create a planet portrait. Students were provided with chalk pastels and paint to create planets, stars, nebulas, and moons. Students had one hour to experiment with the materials and create their images. Take a look at the images below to see the fantastic variety in approach to this project!
